Authors’ Guidelines
Instructions for Authors
Please submit your manuscript in two files on the PVELL website as per the following:
- Manuscript: With Title Only (Without author's detailed profile)
- Author Profile (Available at PVELL Homepage)

Manuscript preparation
The authors are required to follow the instructions for the preparation of the manuscripts:
- Follow APA manual 7th Edition—Research Paper Guidelines for the write-up of research papers for PVELL.
- The research paper must include the following sections:
- Abstract (600 words with a maximum of five keywords stating the aim, methodology, major findings, recommendations and implications of the study)
- Introduction
- Background
- Scope and Significance
- Statement of Problem/Issue
- Aim and Objectives
- Research Questions
- Literature Review
- Background
- Recent Studies
- Research Gaps
- Theoretical Framework
- Conceptual Framework
- Research Methodology
- Research Design
- Research Tools
- Sampling Technique
- Data Analysis and Results
- Analytical Framework
- Data Analysis
- Discussion
- Findings
- Recommendations/Implications & Conclusion
- References / Appendices (These must start on separate pages. The authors must ensure that all the references cited in the text also exist in the reference list and vice-versa)
- Biographical Note/s of 50 words for each author
Manuscript Checklist
- The tables, figures, charts, etc., must be on one page instead of continuing to the next page.
- Follow APA or MLA guidelines consistently without switching from one style to another in a research paper.
- Follow British or American English consistently throughout the manuscript without switching from one to another.
- The recommended approximate length of the manuscript should range between 4000 and 8000 words (excluding references, tables, figures, and appendices).
- Submit a Copyright Form (Available on the Home Page) declaring that all contributing authors agree with the authorship order and the manuscript's content.
- Provide information regarding any previous presentation of the data (e.g. conference presentation, thesis).
- The manuscript should contain original, primary work which has not been previously published or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The manuscript must not contain any interpretation that may hurt any community section based on race, religion or socio-cultural aspects.
- PVELL has a very firm policy against plagiarism or self-plagiarism as per HEC criteria (19% Similarity Index)
- The PVELL team does not take any liability for the authors' opinions. The perceptions, views, and beliefs presented in published paper(s) are solely the responsibility of the author(s).
